What's New:

iPhone 13 series phones boast a completely redesigned camera system, which includes serious advances for mobile filmmakers:
  • a 3x telephoto lens
  • "Cinematic Mode" which allows for shallow depth of field and rack focusing during filming and in post-production
  • the ability to shoot in Apple Pro Res

Will my Moondog Labs Anamorphic Lens work with iPhone 13 series phones?

Yes! We have tested our 1.33X Anamorphic Lens - Bayonet Mount with both an iPhone 13 Pro & iPhone 13 Pro Max using a Moment case. We're happy to report optimal compatibility with all the anamorphic qualities.

Which Multi-Camera Filter Mount is best for iPhone 13 series phones?

Our redesigned Multi-Camera Filter Mount is optimized for iPhone 13s. It's also backward compatible with all of iPhones triple camera systems dating back to iPhone 11. Check out the compatibility chart below for further detail.

BeastGrip Pro + Moondog Labs + iPhone 13 series phones

We have tested with the iPhone13 Pro, 1.33X Anamorphic Lens - 37mm, and the Beastgrip Pro.

The 37mm is compatible with the Beastgrip Pro Rig and the iPhone13 Pro while using the Wide or Tele Cameras and up to two filters. Minor vignetting occurs with three filters and the Ultra Wide Camera causes clipping.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max has the same specs, camera, and processor as the iPhone 13 Pro and will have similar results. The only issue with the iPhone 13 Pro Max is that it is a tight squeeze to settle into the BeastGrip Pro rig but that's true of all the 'Max' iPhones since iPhone 11, a little more difficult to mount to the rig but still mountable.

Based on the specs of the iPhone 13 & iPhone 13 Mini, we can infer that the 1.33X Anamorphic Lens - 37mm thread mount/BeastGrip Pro rig setup would work well.
